Hosmer was pure thrash hardcore from Wichita, KS - although truthfully, all the members of the band are transplants from nearby Hutchinson.  Hosmer was a completely stripped-back heavy band - no corny definitions, no extensive aesthetics, no flashy gear or expensive recording sessions - just aggressive music.  They were an incredibly active band locally, and were able to bridge the gap outside of the punk/hardcore/DIY community to make connections with heavy bands of all genres.  Their recordings are blistering, forceful, and brief - and if you were fortunate enough to see them perform during their active years, that's exactly what you would get from their live sets.  Few copies of their three releases remain, but you can go digging for the digital jams below:

Excellent new jams from Troy James Weaver!  In addition to being a talented writer and novelist, my guy can pull a great sounding solo record out of thin air, too.  Totally touching and perfect lo-fi jams that recall Sebadoh's Freed Weed, Jesus and Mary Chain, and more.

New music from NOT COPS, off their quarantine performance at WAVE in Wichita, KS.  NC has a sizable crop of new music that is shaping up to be their 2nd LP, and you can hear many of the new jams recorded for the first time on this cassette.  Loud band makes loud music!
